Did you know?
Founded by Bernard Canetti, Brampton evolved from a tuition centre established in the 1980s and is now one of the UK’s highest-performing independent sixth form colleges. Alongside its two-year A level courses, it is also well known for one-year GCSE programmes and A level resits, attracting students looking to improve results before moving on to university.
Our takeaway
Brampton is unapologetically academic. With small classes, frequent assessments and strong university preparation, it is geared towards students determined to maximise their grades or improve on previous results. The environment is informal but disciplined, and while the wider co-curricular offer is relatively limited, the academic outcomes and university destinations are consistently strong.
"Our purpose is to transform the lives of our students by listening to and understanding their story, empowering them to set ambitious goals, and by kindling an unwavering belief that their ambitions are achievable."
